Can this be Assault? Pastor David Oyedepo in Church


I saw this i said let me share with you. Can this be really assault as Nigeria's wealthiest preacher, David Oyedepo, assaults a female church member during a church service. The video shows a hapless female on her knees professing to being a "witch for Jesus" during a church service at the Winners Chapel on Otta, Ogun state. Apparently angry at her testimony, the man commonly known as "Papa" slapped the church member calling her evil. Watch video below

Bishop David Oyedpo Church Called witchcraft' church in UK


 Winners' Chapel International, which is currently under investigation by the Charity Commission, wants to open the school at its Dartford site.

Human rights campaigners and the National Secular Society are urging the government to turn down the school bid.

The church, whose leader Bishop David Oyedpo was filmed accusing a woman of being a witch, declined an interview.

The organisation, which has its headquarters in Nigeria, is known as Living Faith Church Worldwide and also Winners' Chapel International (WCI).
Bishop Oyedepo, its leader in Nigeria, has been shown on YouTube slapping a woman and accusing her of being a witch.

The Mavins – Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage, Dr. Sid, Korede Bello, D’Prince, Aphrodija & Reekado Banks – were the only stars to perform this evening at the grand launch of the new Akwa Ibom State stadium.

For their performance the Mavins decided to go with an all-white ensemble for each of them. Their performance was quite an act with over a hundred dancers lined up behind them. More Photo below

40 US soldiers Storm Nigeria To Curb Boko Haram from Hide out..


40 soldiers from the United States arrived Nigeria on November 6, 2014, Thursday, to assist in curbing the activities of the dreaded Boko Haram sect.
New Telegraph quoting high-rank sources at the Army Headquarters reports that the US troops were sighted at the Defence Headquarters (DHQ), Abuja, in combat gear.

2 feared dead, 20 injured at Akwa Ibom new stadium


According to a report, Two people are feared dead while 20 others suffered various where injured during a stampede at the inauguration ceremony of a new stadium in Akwa Ibom state, the News Agency of Nigeria is reporting.

It is not clear yet what caused the stampede but an international friendly between the home-based senior national team of Nigeria, Super Eagles B, and the U-23 National Team of Ghana, the Black Meteors, was fixed to mark the ceremony.

And according to Mirror.co.uk, Peter Hubbard said he hopes the small risk he is taking could help create a vaccine to prevent further outbreaks of the disease, which has claimed thousands of lives in west Africa.

50-year-old Man Kills Neighbor Over Wife,


A 50-year-old man, whose name was Sunday Orochendo,was arrested for allegedly killing his neighbour,    Rafel Ngbobile, 60, during a fight.
Sources disclosed that the wife of the suspect, who is currently on the run, had contacted her husband, who was not at home at the time of the quarrel, on phone and reported the matter to him.

Mentally disabled teen raped by 34-year-old Man


A 34-year-old man was arrested this morning for allegedly raping a mentally disabled teenage girl in Zondi, Soweto south Africa
An incident where a mentally retarded girl, aged 17, was allegedly raped by a neighbour,” police spokesperson Warrant Officer Kay Makhubela said.
“It is alleged that the neighbour was doing that every now and then when the girl came from school and he called her over to his place. He was arrested after the girl’s brother became suspicious.”

Electricity Company Have Been given 7-Day Ultimatum - NLC


The Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC, in Enugu State has been given seven days ultimatum by the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, in the South-East to recall the sacked unionists of the company without further delay.

This detail was made public on Thursday in a communiqué made available to newsmen after a one-day extra-ordinary meeting in Owerri, which was sanctioned by the chairmen and secretaries of the states involved.

According to the communiqué, the labour group warned the management of EEDC to desist from all attempts to engender industrial disharmony.

Report: Over 4,000 rats killed at Indian hospital


A pest control firm exterminated 4,400 rats over two days at a state-run hospital in India with thousands still on the premises, its chief executive said on Thursday.

According to Sanjay Karmakar, Head of Laxmi Fumigation and Pest Control Service Ltd., said that Maharaja Yeshwantrao in Indore, south of Delhi, was still home to over 10,000 rodents.

However, the complex consists of seven buildings across about 10 acres.

As every body is making effort to bring down Ebola, Facebook is not left out as Facebook is  efforts to fight Ebola by adding a button designed to make it easier for its users to donate to charities battling the disease.

The social media company is also donating and deploying 100 satellite communication terminals to boost Internet and phone services to affected areas in West Africa, where the disease has killed nearly 5,000. The programs come on the heels of a $25 million donation last month by CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention toward the Ebola response.

Burkina Faso: West African leaders broker civilian transition deal

President Goodluck Jonathan and two other West African leaders have brokered a deal to resolve the political impasse in Burkina Faso.

The three West African Presidents brokered an agreement on a one-year political transition that would lead to elections in November 2015, local media reported on Thursday.

According to the agreement, the military, which is currently controlling the country after citizens’ protests forced the former leader out of power, would hand power over to an eminent civilian personality to lead the transition.

Lagos State Declares Friday Public Holiday Due To Voters Card


The governor made the announcement in a special state-wide broadcast to residents on the commencement of the issuance of PVCs by INEC in the state, held at the State House, Marina, Lagos.

Dr. Adekunle Ogunmola, the Resident Electoral Commissioner of INEC in Lagos state, had on 29 October announced that residents in Lagos would be expected to start collection of their permanent voters’ cards from 7-9 November, 2014. And Friday is a working day out of the three days earmarked for collection by INEC.

Two Nigerians contracted Ebola virus in Freetown, Sierra Leone,, said the minister of state for health, Dr Khaliru Alhassan. According Leadership, the contaminated Nigerians are aged 27 and 22 and they are indigenes of Abia and Edo states, respectively.

He has held that position for the fourth successive year.

The influential Forbes Magazine rates Dangote on the list of 25 richest people in the world.
The Nigerian businessman, with interests in cement, sugar, beverages and petrochemical, is now ranked 23 up 43rd among the 100 richest persons in the world.

EFCC recovers $11billion stolen funds in 11 years


Since the existence of  EFCC starting from 2003, a total of 11 billion dollars has been recovered.

 The Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren yesterday. He also said that the commission handled many cases involving advanced fee fraud (419), money laundering, contract scam, internet fraud and has recorded over 100 convictions.

The EFCC Spokesman made the comment while speaking at the Forum of Spokespersons of Security and Response Agencies organised by the I-Nigeria Initiative led by Mrs. Ada Apiaffi, in Abuja yesterday, November 5th.

Nigeria to loan $945 To Improve Irrigation


The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved three foreign loans in the sum of $945 million to improve irrigation system, prevent flooding in Ibadan, Oyo State and provide water for Bauchi, Ekiti and Rivers States.


The council meeting which was presided over by Vice President Namadi Sambo also approved four road projects totaling N22 billion.

Briefing State House Correspondents after the meeting, the Minister of Water Resources Mrs Sarah Ochekpe who was joined by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr Akinwunmi Adesina and the Minister of State for Finance, Bashir Yiguda, said the International Development Association’s credit of $495 million is for the management of irrigation systems in the country.

Four houses burnt, 2 kidnapped in Afam Uku Oyigbo area of PH


 Four houses were ablaze yesterday, when youths from a neighbouring community allegedly invaded Afam Uku Oyigbo area of Port Harcourt and allegedly abducted two persons.

Caretaker committee chairman of Oyigbo Local Government Area, Mr. David Oyegorom, who confirmed the incident, claimed the invaders stormed the community in his local government in the early hours of yesterday, noting that the timely arrival of security men saved the situation from degenerating into major violence.
