Petroleum Pipeline Explodes In Lagos Leaving some Dead


A petroleum pipeline belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, at Ijedodo area of Lagos State, exploded on Thursday evening.

The number of casualties could not be ascertained, though scores of suspected pipeline vandals were feared killed in a massive inferno that erupted from the explosion.



It was gathered by Vanguard that the suspected pipeline vandals had surrounded the place around 6pm and were scooping petroleum product into jerry cans.

As they were scooping the petroleum product, an argument was said to have ensued among them.
