Robber gave his girlfriend a gold necklace covered with blood

A robber gave his girlfriend a gold necklace he had stolen in a violent robbery, which was still stained with the BLOOD of his victim.
Ryan Meek, 29, and Dean Partridge, 32, attacked Ross Harrison in August this year, taking a gold necklace from his neck.

But when police went to arrest Meek they found his girlfriend wearing a similar piece of jewellery, WalesOnline reports.
When officers inspected it they saw blood on the necklace, and tests revealed it belonged to Mr Harrison.
Cardiff Crown Court heard the trio had all been at a party in Keir Hardie Terrace in Swffryd, Crumlin, on August 2 with Meek and Partridge arriving at 10pm.
Meek had tried to take Mr Harrison’s necklace from his neck but he had refused to let him.
Shortly after, Meek, from Morley Road, Abertillery, punched him, leaving him with a bloody nose.
He went on to punch him repeatedly, prosecutor Byron Broadstock told Cardiff Crown Court.
Despite the continued punches, Mr Harrison managed to push him off, pinning him down to try stop any further assault.
But Partridge, from Queen Street, in Abertillery, then got involved, punching Mr Harrison in his ribs. That allowed Meek to get up and Mr Harrison, knowing both men were now free to assault him, went to a sofa, cowering on it and putting his arms around his head to try protect himself.
Another 15-30 seconds of blows then followed from the pair and during the assault, he felt his chain being pulled off.
When Mr Harrison told them he would call police, Partridge told him he would “burn down his house and his mother’s”.
Mr Harrison went to hospital before reporting the theft of his necklace, valued at £1,400.
Both men originally denied robbery but changed their pleas to guilty on the first day of their trial.
Meek has 20 previous convictions and Partridge has one, Mr Broadstock said.
The court was told Meek has a one-year-old child and Partridge’s girlfriend is expecting their first.
Recorder Timothy Brennan QC was also asked to consider that Partridge had played a much lesser role and had fewer convictions.
The judge jailed Meek for two years and nine months. Partridge was sent to prison for two years and three months.
