The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ondo State has sealed 10 filling stations for not complying to sell petrol at the new pump price of N87.
The command spokesperson, Kayode Balogun, on Thursday in Akure said the enforcement team was led by the acting commandant of the command, Adewoye Oyedokun.
He said the command was out to ensure strict compliance with the Federal Government’s directive on reduction of pump price of petrol from N97 to N87 per litre.
“Although some of the stations visited complied with the directive, others are still selling at the old pump price,” Mr. Balogun said. “Most filling stations that were sealed either refused to adjust their pumps when told to do so or ran away on sighting the enforcement team.”
