Man arrested for being in possession of over 104 bags of hard drugs

Men of the Cross Rivers state Police command has arrested Edet Okon {pictured above}  for being in possession of hard drugs contained in well over 104 bags, and 100, 200 litre drums.
According to the state's Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Hogan Bassey, Mr Edet was arrested with the hard drugs at his home in Ikot-Nkese in the Bakassi Local Government Area of Cross River State following a tipoff on Wednesday December 10th.

"We acted based on information. The 104 bags and two drums (100 and 200 litre drums), were stocked in his house when we got there around 5am. He was arrested immediately and brought to the command headquarters.”

Ex-Militant Leader, Tompolo acquires Seven Warships

Acccording to a report from abusidiqu  stating that the former militant leader from the Niger Delta, Mr. Government Ekpemupolo, alia Tompolo, has reportedly bought seven decommissioned Norwegian battleships, .

The decommissioned battleship according to reports by a Norwegian newspaper, Dagbladet, said that the fast-speed Hauk-class guided missile boats had been re-armed with new weaponry.

The report also revealed that Ekpemupolo’s most recent purchase is a KNM Horten, a fast-attack craft now used in fighting piracy in Nigeria’s waterways.

It was learnt that in spite of his alleged history of violence, Tompolo, now controls the Global West Vessel Service, a privately owned contractor for maritime security for the Nigerian Maritime Safety Agency.

Father arrested as Missing Nigerian baby found in Mexico,

The baby who went missing after his mother was found dead in a refrigerator at their home in Houston, Texas on Monday December 8th has been found in Mexico in good health.

11 months old Achilles Lambert was abducted by his Nigerian father, Patrick Lambert, who is a suspect in his estranged wife’s murder. Anastacia Lambert was stabbed to death. (read story here).

Houston police say the little boy was found abandoned yesterday Friday December 12th in Queretaro, central Mexico. Patrick was located somewhere else in Mexico and has since been taken into custody.

Nigerian tissue seller is being praised in Spain for returning €16,000

According to Euronews a Nigerian tissue seller is being praised in Spain as a good Samaritan after he returned 16 thousand Euros he found in a briefcase that fell from a car.

35 year old Peter Angelina, who makes a living selling tissue paper at a traffic light junction at the corner of Calle Juan Diaz de Solis and Ruben Dario in Seville, Spain, was selling his wares on Dec. 3rd when he noticed a small briefcase left on the roof of a car. The briefcase fell to the ground when the driver of the car pulled away. Peter picked up the briefcase and ran after the vehicle, trying to flag the driver down to return the case to him but couldn't get the attention of the driver. He then took the briefcase to a police station near the junction.

When police opened the briefcase, they found €3,150 in cash and six cheques with a combined value of €13,000 as well as some documents and a mobile telephone. More money than the man who left Lagos Nigeria for London, then Spain over 10 years had ever seen in his life.

The little girl above is just 13 year old and she was found wearing an explosives-packed vest was arrested in Kano state yesterday December 11th. The girl was arrested after she and a male accomplice walked into a clinic seeking medical treatment. Suspicious hospital staff alerted police who immediately arrested the two.

On searching her, Police discovered explosives hidden under her hijab. The police later revealed that the young girl was from Bauchi and was part of the 'suicide team' that attacked a market in Kano on Wednesday Dec. 10th.

Canadian Woman arrested after her 9yr old daughter's body is found in a car trunk

According to  the Toronto Sun, Canadian mother named Lisa Batstone has been charged with murder after the body of her 8yr old daughter was found in the trunk of a car. The lifeless body of Tegan Batstone was discovered by police responding to a call about a car in a ditch, just south of Vancouver, British Columbia on Wednesday Dec. 10th. the divorced mother, 41, was taken into custody at the scene before being charged with second-degree murder.

Authorities are yet to say why the mother killed the girl and also the girl's cause of death. An autopsy has been scheduled. The woman's lawyers told the court that she'd been depressed and had been on a variety of medications before the incident.

According to a report reaching to me a  young girl was stopped this morning from trying to kill herself in the Okaka-Epie area of Yenagoa in Bayelsa state. The depressed girl, after fighting with her sister, drank 'sniper' which is use in killing insects. A young boy who saw her writhing on the grass quickly called neighbours who fed her with red oil and rushed her to the hospital. She's expected to survive.Moree pic below...

Dan Bilzerian was trying to make a bomb TMZ has learned ... which is why he was arrested when he landed at LAX late Tuesday.

We've learned an arrest warrant was issued in Clark County, Nevada. Bilerzian has been charged with violating a law making it a crime to possess an explosive or incendiary device with the intent to manufacture it.

According to the criminal complaint -- obtained by TMZ -- Bilzerian had ammonium and aluminum powder, along with ammonium nitrate mix -- and when mixed it acts like pure TNT.

The warrant was issued last month but it was confidential ... under seal, presumably because cops were continuing to investigate and they didn't want their cover blown if the warrant became public.

Bilzerian is being held without bail.

Bilzerian is a fan of weapons ... he got washed out of the Navy SEAL program in 1999, 2 days before graduation.

If convicted of the felony he faces between 1 and 6 years in prison.

Nigerian mother with 11 months old son allegedly murdered by husband in Texas

Woman named Anastacia Oaikhena Lambert pictured above right was found dead in her home in Houston, Texas on Monday December 8th and Houston police are now looking for her estranged husband, Achilles Lambert, who has gone missing with the couple's 11 month old baby.

27 year old Anastacia was found stabbed to death and her body stuffed inside a refrigerator in the Houston apartment. The decomposing body was found by maintenance workers after a strong foul odor was perceived coming from the woman's home.The couple's 11 months old son is now believed to be with 38-year-old Patrick Lambert, who police suspect killed his estranged wife and they have put his face out.

O Ohwo of Delta State High Court, Warri, Delta State, on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, convicted and sentenced Pastor Glory Okeoghene Abrefera and Reverend Vincent Okpogu to seven (7) years imprisonment each for stealing depositors' funds amounting to N32million ( Thirty- Two Million Naira only).

The two clergymen were nabbed after deceiving unsuspecting members of the public into investing in Mustard Seed Micro Investment Limited, a wonder bank, and defrauded them of their hard-earned money.
While delivering judgment today, Justice Ohwo convicted the accused persons on all of the nine count charges preferred against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC.They were sentenced to seven years imprisonment on each count. The sentence is to run concurrently.

Miss America pageant in 1959, dies at 75

One of the first Miss American winners to make it big in Hollywood, Mary Ann Mobley, has died. Mary Ann, who won the Miss America pageant in 1959, died yesterday Tuesday Dec. 9th in Beverly Hills after a long battle with breast cancer, TMZ reports. She was 75 years old.

The former beauty queen appeared in several Hollywood movies and sitcoms including 'Diff'rent Strokes. Her family says she will buried next week in her native Mississippi.

Nigerian schoolboy and footballer, Joel Adeshina who is just 15 year old was stabbed to death at Bethnal Green Road in East London on Friday night December 5th by a group of boys.

According to Scotland Yard police, Joel was on his way home with some of his friends when they were attacked by a gang who pursued them into an estate, managed to corner Joel and then stabbed him in the stomach.

"Police were called by London Ambulance Service to Bethnal Green Road, E2, at 23:04hrs on Friday, 5 December. Officers attended and found a 15-year-old boy suffering from serious stab injuries to the abdomen. The boy was taken by London Ambulance Service to an east London hospital. He died in hospital at 02:12hrs on Saturday, 6 December.’ a Scotland Yard spokesperson said.
