Tafawa Balewa’s son to drag PDP to court over presidential form he was denied of


AHEAD of December 6 National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP where President Goodluck Jonathan, the sole presidential candidate of the party for the 2015 Presidential election would br ratified, son of Nigeria’s late prime minister, Alhaji Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Dr Abdul Jelil who was denied the Presidential forms has vowed to drag the leadership of the party to court to seek redress.

Addressing Journalists yesterday in Abuja, Abdul Jelil Balewa who boasted that the party cannot expel him because of insistence that he would contest the party’s presidential primary election inspite of PDP’s endorsement of President Jonathan as the sole candidate, however stressed that he has been a PDP member since 1998, adding that things cannot be done with impunity.

Ebola Scare: pregnant wom­an vomiting blood in Jibowu


The prompt intervention of Chisco transport officials has saved a pregnant wom­an, who after alighting from one of the company’s buses at its terminal, Jibowu, Lagos, started vomiting blood through her mouth and nose.

According to DailySun, the bus, with registration number KJA 950 XR, was said to have arrived from Abuja at about 10am on the fate­ful day when the incident occurred. Scared by the development, other passengers were said to have taken to their heels as one of the passengers screamed that the pregnant woman was displaying Ebola symptoms.

F Ikponmwen of an Edo State High Court, sitting in Benin- City on a 6- count charge bordering on forgery, obtaining money by false pretence and possession of fraudulent documents.The accused person allegedly duped Sabine Albert, a German, of the sum of $12, 088, 75 through fraudulent claims.
Rukewe, 30, a final year student of Computer and Statistics at the University of Benin, was arrested by officials of a new generation bank on May 28, 2014 in Benin City and handed over to the EFCC for further investigation.

Eye witnesses say the bomb was planted by a man who came and dropped his bag in a Kano line bus and left. NEMA officials are said to be at the scene right now removing the dead bodies and taking the injured to the Gombe State Specialist Hospital. Death penalty for Kano child bride


AFP's Aminu Abubakar writes that prosecutors at the High Court in Gezawa, have filed an amended complaint that charged the young girl with one count of murder over the killing. Lead prosecutor Lamido Abba Soron-Dinki said that if convicted, the charge is "punishable with death" and indicated the state would seek the maximum penalty.

British-Nigerian lady, Joy Williams who is 24yr old  has died after a failed £2,000 butt enlargement surgery in Bangkok, Thailand. The young lady's older brother, Anietie, who lives in Nigeria, said the family didn't even know she'd traveled to Thailand.

"We don't really know what went wrong, we only know what is in reports in the media." Anietie said

He also said that the family is making preparations to bring her body home. According to the Daily Mail, Joy, who relocated to the UK from Nigeria in 2007 and lives with her mother in Thamesmead, died on October 23rd after visiting a clinic called SP Clinic in Thailand which she had found on the internet.More below..

Taiwo under the pretext of renting a property, situated at Magodo GRA, Lagos, and purchasing items for its furnishing, issued cheques totaling N11, 398, 500.

But before the cheques could clear, he evacuated all the furniture and electrical appliances purchased by the property owner at his instance and sold them at give away prices at Alaba Market Lagos.

Man that was allegedly shot by police in Delta state has died


Some days ago, Moses Onianwa who is 25yr old, worked with Oshimili North LGA, and was allegedly shot by policemen attached to Ibusa Police Station in Delta State during last Saturday's Local Government Area elections unfortunately, he's passed. He died in the early hours of this morning October 30th at the FMC Hospital in Asaba.Friends of late Moses are now asking the Delta State Police Commissioner to look into the case of Christopher Obiechie, the other youth who is the owner of the Mercedes Benz C-class allegedly shot at by the police.

FRSC To Ban Alcohol Sale In FCT Motor Parks


The FCT Sector Commander of the Federal Roads Safety Commission (FRSC), on Wednesday, said the Command would enforce the ban on sale of alcohol at motor parks in the territory.

Ajenge said this in Abuja at the 2014 Ember Months sensitisation rally organised by the FCT Command of the FRSC.

She said the command was already working with transport unions at the parks and the police to ensure the relocation of sellers of alcohol from the parks as part of measures to ensure safety on the highways.

She added that “we totally condemn the sale of alcohol at the parks; in fact, we are already in partnership with unions at motor park on the need to relocate sellers.

“We are also working with the police to enforce the order in case they refuse to relocate after the time limit given to them.’’

A woman who just gave birth to triplets is being held at the hospital over her family's inability for N150k bill. Sun News reports below...

A couple with five children was recently blessed with a set of triplets. The couple, now with eight kids – five boys and three girls – never envisaged going that far in child bearing. But since circumstance had made it so, Mr. & Mrs. Ifeani Benjamin Amadu, from Ukpo in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State, have no option but to accept their fate.Mrs. Amadu told our correspondent that three months into her pregnancy, she had gone for scan only to be told that she was carrying three babies in her womb, a revelation that threw her into fright.

Boko Haram reportedly taken over army headquarters of the 234 battalion in Adamawa state



A report from Sahara Reporters, suspected members of Boko Haram entered Mubi town in Adamawa state today Oct. 29th and took over the army headquarters of the 234 battalion in the town.

The troops guarding the barracks reportedly initially exchanged fire with the sect men but fled after they realized they were outnumbered by the militants and their heavy firepower.

Zambia President dies at 77


President of Zambia, Michaal Sata has died at the age of 77. He died yesterday October 28th at the King Edward VII hospital in the United Kingdom after suffering from an undisclosed ailment.

Born July 6 1937, Mr Sata was elected Zambia's President in September 2011. He is survived by wife Christine and 20+ children. May his soul rest in peace, Amen

Dad sues US school after daughter is banned over Ebola Scare..

 
A Nigerian father (pictured above) has sued a school in the US, Connecticut elementary school, saying his 7-year-old daughter was discriminated against and banned from school for 21 days based on irrational fears of Ebola because she attended a wedding in Nigeria.

Stephen Opayemi filed the lawsuit in federal court in New Haven, Connecticut. He asked a judge to order the schools in Milford, Connecticut, to immediately permit his daughter to return to her third-grade class.
