The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye, says abortion is ungodly and unbiblical. He made his position known via his Special Assistant on Personnel and Administration, Pastor Johnson Odesola, at the monthly prayer and thanksgiving service organised for pregnant women at the RCCG National Headquarters in Ebutte-Metta, Lagos.

Girl killed in crash weeks before 21st birthday

The family of a young woman killed in a motorbike crash weeks before her 21st birthday have been left "totally devastated".
Lauren Roberts, aged 20, died last Thursday when her blue Honda CBR 125 R-5 collided with a black Vauxhall Astra just before 8.45pm.
She suffered a cardiac arrest after the crash at the junction of Forth Drive and Chester Road, in Chelmsley Wood in the Midlands.

Police and DSS Fails to reach agreement on Nyanya mastermind

The inability of the Ministry of Justice, the Police and Department of State Service (DSS) to agree on which agency should prosecute the suspected mastermind of the April 14 bomb blast in Nyanya, Abuja, Aminu Ogwuche, stalled his arraignment on Friday.

Ogwuche has been in the DSS custody since his extradition from Sudan over a month ago. However, confusion arose in court on Friday between the police and State Security Service (SSS) over which of the two agencies should prosecute the suspected bomb blast mastermind who had subsequently fled to Sudan.
According to the Nation, the police, who filed the charges, could not produce Ogwuche and his co-accused because the suspects were held by the DSS. DSS lawyer Cliff Osagie, urged the police to withdraw the initial charges against the accused to enable the DSS complete its investigation.

Four female college students killed in bus crash

Four female softball players have been killed and dozens more injured after their team bus was involved in a tragic motorway crash.
The accident happened around 9pm last night when a truck strayed into oncoming traffic near Ardmore, Oklahoma.
A bus carrying the Lady Lions softball team from North Central Texas College was hit, with three pronounced dead at the scene. A fourth player passed away after being taken to hospital.

After a Woman was buried alive, heard screaming from inside coffin.

Cemetery workers raced to a newly-dug grave after they heard banging and muffled shouting an hour after a 45-year-old woman was buried.
As they grabbed tools and anything they could find, they rushed to dig the grave up again after the woman woke up to find herself buried alive in a coffin.
But tragically, the un-named woman died before her would-be rescuers could reach her inside the plot at a cemetery near Greece’s Thessaloniki.
Now police are probing why the woman was pronounced dead by doctors treating her for cancer, only to be found alive.
Her grieving family arranged her funeral at the graveyard in Peraia, a small town 16 miles south of Thessaloniki, Greece’s main city in the north.

How is life in retirement and what is a typical day like for you now that you are retired?

Well, it is still the same life, except that we do not engage ourselves in too much pastoral work as we used to do when on active duty. On a typical day, I wake up in the morning like any other person. I say my prayers, go for my Mass, then do some exercises and go for a walk because of my leg. Then I take my breakfast and after that I sit down and people start coming to see me. And I will be there sitting in my office until 2 or 3pm listening and answering people’s questions. That is what a typical day looks like.

S.A victims’ relations vow to sue TB Joshua

Thanduxolo Doro and Mpho Molebatsi, two South Africans who both lost their sisters at the Synagogue building collapse on September 12th have vowed to drag pastor T.B.Joshua to court for what they describe as negligence on the part of the church for not allowing rescue workers help save the victims after the collapse as well as withholding information after the unfortunate incident.

The South Africans who were guests on a BBC programme this week said they are calling on other family members to come forward so that they can unanimously press charges against T.B. Joshua

11 year old boy killed by Driver

A driver who killed an 11-day-old baby boy by ploughing into a car which had stopped in a motorway queue was today jailed for eight months.
Thomas Fryer's Mercedes careered into a Seat Leon carrying little Dawood Hewitt during the busy Bank Holiday weekend in May last year.
The 32-year-old admitted causing death by careless driving at Stafford Crown Court and was banned from the road for three years.
Fryer must take a retest if he wants to get behind the wheel again.
The accident happened on the M6 near Cannock when Dawood's mum was stationary in lane three as Fryer's vehicle struck her car at high speed.
The newborn's four year-old and 18 month-old siblings, who were also in the car, escaped with minor injuries.
