Bala Muhammed (Min. for Federal Capital Territory), Mr. Labaran Maku (Min. of Information), Chief Emeka Wogu (Min. of Labour), Mr. Nyesom Wike ( Min. of State, Education), Dr. Samuel Ortom (Min. of State, Trade, Industry and Investment) and Senator Musiliu Obanikoro ( Min. of State, Defence) are expected to tender their resignations in October to enable them pursue their Governorship aspirations in their various states.

Living Faith Church Pastor killed by Boko Haram

Pastor Eliud Gwamna Mshelizza of the Living Faith Church, a teacher with the Government Girls Secondary School Shaffa alongside 17 others were killed in separate attacks on Wednesday September 24th and Thursday September 25th after Boko Haram members launched an attack on Shaffa and Shindiffu villages of Hawul LGA in Borno State.

Chibok Girl Found Pregnant in Adamawa State..

One of the Chibok girls whom Boko Haram abducted and then freed, was reportedly found in Mubi, Adamawa brutalized and four months pregnant.

The girl has been identified as Susan Ishaya, Leadership reports.

Sources say she was found near a police station in Mubi, where she was abandoned by the terrorists.

“Evidently, the girl was subjected to serious abuse. There are bruises on her body, and she is suffering from psychological trauma,” said Tsamdo Hosea Abana, chairman of the Chibok community in Abuja.

Ishaya is said to be currently receiving treatment at a hospital.

Woman buy's her own baby alive in Akwa Ibom

  Woman from Afaha Abia village, Nsit Ibom LGA in Akwa Ibom State Who is believed to be named Patience Aaron has been arrested by Men of the Akwa Ibom state Police command for allegedly burying her day-old baby alive.

Days after over 160 Boko Haram members surrendered to the Nigerian Army, the Federal Government  said it will soon begin the process of rehabilitating and re-radicalising them.
According to The Nation,Coordinator of the National Information Centre Mr. Mike Omeri,told reporters

"Efforts are ongoing to rehabilitate and re-radicalise the Boko Haram members, who have surrendered their arms in the last one week. Religious leaders, indigenes and the school system will be involved in the rehabilitation.....

Five family members burnt to death beyond recognition in fire outbreak in Warri

The Parish Pastor of the Christ Apotolic Church in Otumara in Warri Delta state, Pastor J.O. Kayoda, yesterday September 25th lost his wife and four children, two boys and two girls, in a fire outbreak at their home. According to reports, all five family members were burnt beyond recognition after an electric fault in the area caused a fire outbreak in the missionary building of the church where the pastor and his wife stayed. The Pastor was said to be away in Osun state to attend a Pastoral conference when the fire killed his entire family.

According to a neighbor, the fire started at about 11pm and rescue operation to save the woman and her children was very difficult due to the iron protectors the house had.

Four primary school children stabbed to death

A knife-wielding man has stabbed to death four primary school children as they made their way to classes.
Police say three of the children died at the scene and the other died later in hospital after the attack in the town of Pingshan, southern China.
Police are now searching for the suspected attacker, described as middle-aged, the official Xinhua news agency said.
Chinese state TV reported that a 56-year-old man surnamed Shi rode a red motorised trishaw while stabbing the children today.
Local police publicised the number plate of the trishaw and offered a reward of 20,000 yuan ($3,260) for information leading to the man's capture, it added.
Violent crime has been on the rise in China in recent decades as the nation's economy has boomed and the gap between rich and poor has expanded rapidly.

A former chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Ekiti State and staunch supporter of Mr Ayo Fayose, Mr. Omolafe Aderiye was yesterday evening shot dead by four unknown gunmen at the Ijigbo area of Ado-Ekiti the state capital.

According to Sahara reporters, Mr Aderiye was accosted and shot at close range while on his way home after a meeting with the governor elect. She left Zimbabwe on September 11, a day after her 19 year-old daughter, Prioress Tshuma, who had suffered from seizures since 2007, was admitted in a Hospital. Believing the seizures were caused by an evil spirit,she came to seek divine intervention from TB Joshua .Hours ours after her arrival in Lagos,she died leaving behind her daughter and a son.

Train Passengers Killed Journalist in Lagos ...Details

Some illegal train passengers, who were hanging on a moving train at the Ikeja Along bus stop, Lagos have attacked two journalists, causing the death of one of them.
The miscreants had jumped off the train on Tuesday at about 9am and attacked the journalists.The miscreants were said to have accused the journalists of filming them with the intention of exposing their antics through their medium.
It was learnt that the pressmen had fled for their lives, but the attackers gave them a chase, causing one of the journalists to run into the path of an oncoming commercial bus.
He was said to have died while being taken to a hospital in the area.
Some officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority at the bus stop also confirmed the death of the pressman, adding that illegal train passengers on moving trains usually mobbed whoever they suspected was filming them.

Two brothers and cousin killed during kayaking trip..

Three kayakers drowned after they were swept over a weir into dangerous swirling water.

Darren Thorpe, 41, his brother Mark, 39, and their cousin Gavin Bradley, 36, were enjoying a day's paddling on the River Tyne near Hexham, Northumberland.

However, after they failed to return home that evening, a major search began.

The first of the three bodies was found in the river the following morning.

An inquest into their deaths was told that the water level was higher than usual, and one likely scenario was that the men were swept over the weir before they knew it.

Warning signs told people to leave the water upstream of a 200ft-wide weir at Riding Mill, but the three hard-working family men's bodies were found downstream of the feature.

fishermen in EFCC custody for fishing in unauthorized waters...

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday September 24th arraigned six fishermen Adekunle Oshingbosi; Momodu Ibrahim; Idowu Tuesday; Togbosi Christian; Benjamin Eyinle; Anthony Medoho, and their company, Oshine Resources Ventures Limited before a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos for allegedly fishing in unauthorized waters.
According to the EFCC, the men were arrested on March 27th by officers of the Nigerian Navy for fishing in Nigerian territorial waters without getting authorized approval thereby violating Sections 1(1)(2) of the Seas Fishery Act Cap S4, 2004.

Senate Approves Pres. Jonathan’s $1 Billion Loan Request

The Senate has approved President Goodluck Jonathan‘s request for a $1 billion external loan to fight insurgency in Nigeria.

Punch reports that the loan would not be given in cash, but through “the supply of military hardware to be paid for, over a seven-year period.”

After Two men appeared in court in connection with the murder of a missing schoolgirl - with one charged with having sex with her corpse.
Teenager Paige Chivers was just 15 years old when she vanished from her home in Bispham, Blackpool, in August 2007 after a family row.
Since then, there have been no corroborated sightings of her and no contact with her family or friends and her body has never been found,
Robert Ewing, 59, was today charged with murder and intending to pervert the course of justice.
Gareth Dewhurst, 45, was charged with assisting an offender, intending to pervert the course of justice and sexual penetration of a corpse.

Ekiti State judge, Justice John Adeyeye beaten up by thugs

Pandemonium broke out this morning at the Ekiti state High court after a judge, Justice John Adeyeye, was allegedly beaten up by thugs believed to be loyal to Governor-elect, Ayo Fayose, for allegedly being rude to him.

According to Premium Times, Fayose arrived the court house in company of about twenty of his 'supporters' for the Ekiti State Governorship Election petition tribunal which was to hold today.

The judge, seeing the number of supporters that accompanied Fayose to the court house asked him to direct them outside as they were not allowed inside the court premises. This is said to have infuriated Fayose and his supporters...

A woman has been accused of shooting dead a mum-of-two in order to claim her kids as her own.
Catherine Goins, 37, is accused of murdering Natalia Roberts, 30, after luring her from her home in Georgia.
Goins, of Hixson, Tennessee, called police last Friday claiming she had shot an intruder inside her ex-boyfriend’s home.
But investigators found her story was a lie concocted to cover up a disturbing abduction plan, Catoosa County Sheriff Gary Sisk said.
Cops say Goins met Roberts, a mother of two, last Friday morning and lured her to a home in La Fayette claiming she had some baby clothes for her.

Panic: Ebola victims in African village 'rise from the dead'

Panic is spreading across an African community after reports that two Ebola victims have risen from the dead.
The victims, both females in their 40s and 60s, died of the deadly virus in separate communities in Nimba County, Liberia.
But according to reports in a local newspaper, the pair have reportedly been resurrected and are now walking among the living, causing panic and fear among locals.
The New Dawn Nimba County said the late Dorris Quoi of Hope Village Community and the second victim identified as Ma Kebeh, in her late 60s, were about to be taken for burial when they rose from the dead.
Ma Kebeh had been indoors for two nights without food and medication before her alleged death.
Nimba County has recently reported unusual news of Ebola cases, including one about a native doctor from the county, who claimed that he could cure infected victims, dying of the virus himself last week.
Since the Ebola outbreak in Nimba County, this is the first incident of dead victims resurrecting, the paper said.
