But four-day-old Ted must have felt rather too comfortable in his dad's arms... and decided to express himself as only babies can.
By squirting a stream of poop across his father's arm.

Meanwhile, Ted's expression was one of pure contentment, with just the tiniest hint of a sly smile.
"It happened within a second," said Mr Ferguson, who lives with partner Jen in Kent.
"I felt Ted's stomach tense, then before you know it, he’s doing it."
